GALA DINNER AND AUCTION
The Gala DInner and Auction is held every 18 months and is our main fundraising event.The Gala dinner is always a highly enjoyable night, which is magnificently supported by our loyal contributors. Each unique input, whether it be an auction item, a donation, or providing a service on the night, has ensured that all our events have been magical. The highlight of the evening is the charity auction, which over the years has been a triumphant success. The generosity of our bidders is outmatched as everyone gets in the spirit of the occasion, never losing touch of why we are here.
The date of our next gala dinner is still to be decided, however, we intend to have widespread publicity as the date approaches. We welcome all new guests to experience a fabulous night out in the spirit of generosity.

GOLF DAY
The Palm Association Annual Golf Day is usually held in February at Riffa Golf Club. It is an individual stableford tournament and is open to all participants. The golf day is our only annual fundraising event and is wonderfully supported by local and international companies who either sponsor a hole or donate great prizes for the winners. This is always a highly enjoyable family day with extra fun attractions including golf games on the clubhouse lawn and a sponsored shot to the floating green in the lake to add to the enjoyment. In 2007, over 100 budding golfers took part in the tournament and a great day was had by all. Our next Golf Day is to be announced |

BLANKET APPEAL
As the cold chill hit at the beginning of January, a brief text message appeal was sent on a whim to a handful of Palm Association supportersto pledge cash to buy blankets and warm clothes for cold and needy families.
Within 18 hours the message spread and we received over BD 1000 ($2,659) The buying and distributing started immediately and by the following week, we had raised nearly BD 2000 ($5,318) to help keep people warm.
The response was incredible, and we are so grateful to all our supportersfor their generosity, assistance and concern. |

.AWALI CRAFT FAIR
Donated costume jewelry, handbags and accessories were sold at the Awali Craft Fair in December 2007 on behalf of TPA.
Hundreds of beautiful pieces including designer handbags, belts and semi-precious jewelry were sold. The stall was very busy and the outcome was fantastic. A big thank you to everyone who donated and all of those at the fair who got a bargain. |

SUPERMARKET ‘TIN SHAKING’
Back in 2001, the Palm Association’s inauguration year, over 100 ladies shook tins around shopping malls and supermarkets in the name of the Palm Association and raised over BD1200 ($3,191).

THE BAHRAIN ROUND TABLE MARATHON 2003
In 2003 we entered a ‘Palm Team’ into the Round Table Marathon. The team was showing support for the yearly marathon as the B.R.T. had offered to assist many of our families. The event was enjoyable and gave exposure to the Palm Association.

HVM-MDS CHARITY DRIVE
Ultra marathoner Mike McKinlay successfully completed the ‘world’s most demanding foot race,’ the 2008 Marathon des Sables and donate sponsorship proceeds exclusively to The Palm Association. Over BD 10,000 has been donated as of October 2008. |
