ABOUT THE PALM ASSOCIATION

The brainchild of two long-term resident expatriate ladies, The Palm Association has grown from humble beginnings to a well respected, pro-active organisation, run by women, with the sole purpose of providing help and assistance to Bahrain families and individuals.

We believe our strength and uniqueness lie in our passion, personal commitment, and direct, 'hands on' involvement in all our projects. We are strongly committed to using our funds to the very best advantage, and it is our policy to never give cash directly. Our audited accounts are available on request and are published each year in the local press.

Via trusted local community contacts which have been established over the years, we are able to reach into the community and use our resources where they are needed most. Every project large or small is approached with the same desire - To Make a Difference.

Our major annual fundraiser is the Gala Dinner and Auction. All our auction items are generously donated by individuals and companies, and generate the majority of the funds on the night.

Our loyal contributors range from children’s birthday collections, to large sums donated by local and international companies. We appreciate all contributions large or small, because we see every ‘fil’ as an opportunity to make a change somewhere.
